OUR PLANNED ROUTE SO FAR : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : SIMPLE 2D MAP HERE

The journey will take at least 8,000 miles, maybe more depending on border situations and road conditions. Some of the highlights are as follows:

Starting from London, England the first week is a relatively easy cruise through Western and Central Europe.

We should arrive at the Bosphoros River in Istanbul (that separates Europe from Asia) by approximately day five.

We drive into the mountainous Caucasus region of Georgia and Azerbaijan where we arrive at the Caspian Sea.

After the ferry to Turkmenistan we cross this desolate country to arrive in the ancient city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan.

We weave through the ancient Silk Road region crossing the stunning Pamir mountain range just north of Pakistan.

Down to the newly rich oil city of Almaty onto the plains of Kazakhstan we drive north to spend two days in Russia.

We enter Mongolia from the Western border. There are few roads in Mongolia so we will need to find our own way.

We hope to arrive in Ulaan Baatar approximately 5 weeks after setting off from London.
